FATAL ERROR: OpenLogFile() => mkdir(/var/log/snort/137.165.202.188) log directory: Too many links

check your path, sounds like there is a symbolic link included whic
causes a loop

Maybe you tried to link /var/log/snort to something else but mad
a mistake lik

snort -> snor

in /var/log instead of a directory it is poiting to itself whic
causes an endless loop in order to find the end point
